This image was created in Stevens Point, Wisconsin along the Plover River in Iverson Park. Coming across the great blue heron just before sunrise, I watched the great blue wade in and out of the mist and for a brief instant was illuminated by a single light shaft peeking through the trees. The light shaft created a partial silhouette enhancing the natural blue in the umbrage.
